Taxi Dispatch Software is optimized for dispatching taxis along with other services like field service technicians, mass transit vehicles, emergency  and help line services assisted by computer. A dispatcher may announce the call details to field units via a mobile data terminal (MDT), smart phone mobile application, voice or SMS to store and retrieve data (i.e. client information, schedules, etc.).
Operators in a dispatch center are able to easily view and understand the status of all units being dispatched. Dispatch software provides displays and tools so that the dispatcher has an opportunity to handle calls-for-service as efficiently as possible. Our software solution is used to initiate public safety calls for service, dispatch, and maintain the status of responding resources in the field. Generally utilized for communications by dispatchers, call-takers, field operators and drivers, dispatch system consists of several modules that provide services at multiple levels in a dispatch center. Booking

In an ideal setting, a call is received by a call-taker and information about the call is inserted into the dispatch system wherein booking details and other fields have to be populated by call-taker, otherwise by means of booking on the website a client can insert the relevant information using pre registered user name and password, or by selecting preferences on the preinstalled mobile application supporting by various smart phone platforms. GPS receiver, cellular tower ID, automatic vehicle location, automatic ID number and caller identification is often used to enhance the service by pinpointing the locations of both the client and driver. Booking SMS is generated in case of call and web booking whereas when mobile application is used; a notification detailing job status is delivered to the client. All the bookings and their status are available live for enquiries, edit or cancellation.

Processing

Based on the above input credentials the system checks for new jobs then generates a list of valid vehicles and drivers considering their current or future availability by manual or automatic bidding done on mobile data terminal, smart phone mobile application or by voice on the drivers phone. When it gets the confirmation from shortlisted drivers, a highly refined decision making algorithm processes the responses from drivers with various logics i.e. by calculating distance from client to available vehicle, the closest driver, the one having longest waiting time or the first responding vehicle to determine the most optimum assignment of the job to the driver accordingly. The most suitable vehicle for serving the client is then selected by the software engine and process can be monitored live in realtime while its responses are visually displayed on the screen along with an audit report for analysis in future.

Confirmation

Upon successful allocation of vehicle, client is intimated about the details of taxi and driver via SMS and notification message on the smart phone mobile application. The driver is also informed about the details regarding client and pickup location. In case system is unable to find a suitable taxi for the job, the client receives a service decline information prior to its travel time on a preconfigured interval so that the client can make alternate arrangements accordingly. Logging into the web portal or mobile application, client can know information on previous travel and current activity status. System maintains detailed action logs on each booking, their responses and allocation. Post analysis can help identify prime pickup points, driver availability areas and other trends on bookings and their responses with respect to the jobs generated.
